Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA/RCSS) is a city-center airport located in the Songshan District of Taipei, Taiwan. Originally opened in 1936 during the Japanese colonial era, it serves primarily domestic routes within Taiwan as well as select international and cross-strait destinations to mainland China, Japan, and South Korea.
The airport sits approximately 5 kilometers northeast of Taipei's city center, making it exceptionally convenient for business travelers. It operates alongside Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, which handles the bulk of Taiwan's long-haul international traffic.
Songshan has undergone significant modernization efforts over the decades and houses a single passenger terminal. It is also home to military aviation operations, reflecting its dual-use status as both a civil and defense installation.
