The Boeing 767 is a wide-body, twin-engine commercial jet airliner developed by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It entered service in 1982 and was the first twin-engine widebody aircraft to receive ETOPS (Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards) approval, enabling long overwater routes with just two engines. The 767 is offered in several variants, including the 767-200, 767-300, and 767-400ER, with the -300ER being the most popular. It features a wide two-aisle cabin typically configured with seven or eight seats across. The aircraft has also been widely adapted as a freighter, and serves as the basis for the U.S. Air Force KC-46 Pegasus aerial refueling tanker. Despite being a mature design, the 767 remains in production primarily in freighter and tanker configurations. Its reliability, fuel efficiency relative to older four-engine aircraft, and versatility have made it a long-lasting platform in both commercial and military aviation.

The Boeing 767 is an American wide-body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The airliner design was launched as the 7X7 program on July 14, 1978, the prototype first flew on September 26, 1981, and it was certified on July 30, 1982. The initial 767-200 variant entered service on September 8, 1982, with United Airlines, and the extended-range 767-200ER in 1984. It was stretched into the 767-300 in October 1986, followed by the extended-range 767-300ER in 1988, the most popular variant. The 767-300F, a production freighter version, debuted in October 1995. It was stretched again into the 767-400ER in September 2000.
