Tancredo Neves International Airport, commonly known as Confins Airport, is the primary international airport serving Belo Horizonte, the capital of Minas Gerais state in Brazil. It is named after Tancredo Neves, the Brazilian president-elect who died in 1985 before taking office.
The airport is located approximately 38 kilometers north of Belo Horizonte city center, near the municipality of Confins. It handles the majority of international and domestic traffic for the metropolitan region, having largely supplanted the older Pampulha Airport for most scheduled services.
Confins serves as an important hub for LATAM Brasil and GOL Linhas Aéreas, connecting Belo Horizonte to major Brazilian cities as well as international destinations in Europe, North America, and other parts of South America.
