Malaysia Airlines (MH/MAS) is the national flag carrier of Malaysia, operating scheduled international and domestic services across Asia, Oceania, Europe, and the Middle East. Founded in 1947 as Malayan Airways, it has grown into one of Southeast Asia's most recognized carriers and is headquartered in Sepang, near Kuala Lumpur.
The airline is wholly owned by Khazanah Nasional, Malaysia's sovereign wealth fund, following a major restructuring in 2014 and 2015 that saw it rebranded as Malaysia Airlines Berhad.
