Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, commonly known as Subang Airport, is located in Subang, Selangor, near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It served as Malaysia's primary international gateway before Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) opened in Sepang in 1998, after which most commercial traffic transferred to KLIA.
Today the airport primarily handles general aviation, charter flights, cargo operations, and select regional routes. It is also home to aircraft maintenance facilities and aviation training institutions. Firefly, a subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines, has historically used Subang as its hub for turboprop regional services.
The airport remains an important aviation hub for the Klang Valley region, supporting business aviation, government flights, and the Royal Malaysian Air Force, which shares facilities at the adjacent RMAF Subang base.
