Salalah International Airport (IATA: SLL, ICAO: OOSA) is the principal airport serving Salalah, the capital of Dhofar Governorate in southern Oman. It handles both domestic and international traffic, connecting the city to destinations across the Arabian Peninsula, South Asia, and East Africa.
The airport plays a vital role during the annual Khareef (monsoon) season, when Salalah becomes a popular tourist destination for visitors escaping summer heat elsewhere in the Gulf region. Passenger volumes surge significantly during this period, typically from June to September.
Salalah is also an important cargo hub due to the proximity of the Port of Salalah, one of the largest container ports in the Middle East. The airport supports logistics and trade operations linked to the port and Salalah Free Zone.
Terminals
The airport operates a single passenger terminal handling both domestic and international flights.
Getting to & from
Ground transport into central Salalah is primarily by taxi and rental car, as no formal bus or rail link exists between the airport and the city.
