Tenerife Sur Airport, also known as Reina Sofía Airport, is located in the south of Tenerife, the largest of Spain's Canary Islands. It serves as the main entry point for tourists visiting the island's popular southern resorts, including Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos.
The airport handles a high volume of charter and low-cost flights, particularly from Northern and Central Europe, making it one of the busiest airports in Spain by passenger numbers. It is operated by AENA, Spain's national airport authority.
