Boryspil International Airport is the largest and busiest airport in Ukraine, serving as the main international gateway to the capital, Kyiv. Located approximately 29 kilometers east of the city center in the town of Boryspil, it handles the vast majority of Ukraine's international passenger traffic.
The airport underwent significant modernization and expansion in the lead-up to the UEFA Euro 2012 football championship, including the construction of a new Terminal D. Operations have been severely disrupted since February 2022 following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, with commercial flights suspended.
Prior to the conflict, Boryspil served as the primary hub for Ukraine International Airlines and handled tens of millions of passengers annually, connecting Ukraine to destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America.

The airport operates Terminals D and F for international and domestic traffic, with Terminal D being the modern primary facility opened ahead of Euro 2012.
