Middle East Airlines (MEA) is the flag carrier of Lebanon, founded in 1945 and headquartered in Beirut. It is one of the oldest airlines in the Middle East and has long served as a vital link between Lebanon and destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
The airline is majority-owned by Banque du Liban (the Central Bank of Lebanon) and is a member of the SkyTeam alliance. Despite the many political and economic challenges Lebanon has faced over the decades, MEA has maintained continuous operations and a reputation for resilience.
