RNZAF Base Ohakea is the main operational air base of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, located in the Manawatu-Whanganui region of New Zealand's North Island, near the town of Bulls. It serves as the hub for New Zealand's fast jet and maritime patrol operations.
The base is home to several RNZAF squadrons, including those operating the Boeing 757, P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, and previously the A-4 Skyhawk. It plays a central role in New Zealand's defence posture and hosts periodic air shows open to the public.
While IATA code OHA is assigned, Ohakea does not operate as a commercial passenger airport. Access is strictly controlled as an active military installation, and civilian use is limited to special events and approved operations.
