Newcastle Airport, officially known as Williamtown Airport, is a joint civil-military airport located at RAAF Base Williamtown, approximately 25 kilometres north of Newcastle city centre in New South Wales, Australia. It serves as the primary commercial airport for the Hunter Region and surrounding areas.
The airport shares its runways and infrastructure with RAAF Base Williamtown, a major Royal Australian Air Force facility and home to the F/A-18 Hornet and F-35A Lightning II aircraft. This dual-use arrangement is a defining characteristic of the airport's operations.
