Nottingham City Airport, officially known as Nottingham Airport and located at Tollerton, is a small regional airport serving Nottingham and the surrounding East Midlands area. Operating under ICAO code EGBN and IATA code NQT, it primarily handles general aviation, flight training, and occasional charter flights rather than scheduled commercial services.
The airport has a long history tied to wartime use and postwar civil aviation development. Its single grass and paved runway infrastructure reflects its general aviation focus, and it is home to several flying clubs and training organisations based on the airfield.
Nottingham City Airport is distinct from East Midlands Airport, which serves as the main commercial airport for the broader region. The facility remains modest in size and infrastructure compared to major UK airports.
