Kherson International Airport (IATA: KHE, ICAO: UKOH) is a civil airport serving Kherson, the administrative center of Kherson Oblast in southern Ukraine. Situated near the lower Dnipro River, it historically provided connections to Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, as well as limited international routes.
Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the airport and surrounding region became a frontline conflict zone. Kherson city was occupied by Russian forces and later liberated by Ukrainian forces in November 2022, but the airport infrastructure suffered significant damage and commercial operations ceased.
Prior to the conflict, the airport handled a modest volume of passengers and served as a regional hub for southern Ukraine. Its future operations remain uncertain pending the resolution of the ongoing war and infrastructure reconstruction.
