Kaieteur Airport is a small airstrip located near Kaieteur Falls in the Potaro-Siparuni region of Guyana. It serves primarily as an access point for tourists and visitors wishing to view one of the world's most powerful waterfalls, Kaieteur Falls, which drops approximately 226 metres.
The airport handles light aircraft and charter flights, as scheduled commercial service to the site is very limited. It is not equipped for large jet aircraft and functions essentially as a bush airstrip supporting tourism and occasional government operations.
Due to its remote jungle location, the airport has minimal infrastructure and no significant passenger terminal facilities. Most visitors arrive on day-trip charter flights from Georgetown's Cheddi Jagan International Airport or Eugene F. Correia International Airport.
