Frankfurt-Hahn Airport is a former NATO and U.S. Air Force base located in the Hunsrück region of Rhineland-Palatinate, near the village of Lautzenhausen, approximately 120 kilometers from Frankfurt am Main. Despite its misleading name, the airport is far closer to cities such as Trier, Koblenz, and Luxembourg than to Frankfurt itself.
