Richland is a small city in southeastern Washington State, nestled along the Columbia River at the confluence of the Yakima and Snake rivers. Best time: Late spring (April–June) and early fall (September–October) offer the most pleasant temperatures, avoiding the intense summer heat that regularly tops 100°F.
