TRIP Linhas Aéreas was a Brazilian regional airline that specialized in connecting smaller cities and interior destinations across Brazil that were underserved by larger carriers. The airline played an important role in expanding air access to communities in states such as Minas Gerais, Goiás, and other regions of the country.
Founded in 1993, TRIP grew steadily to become one of Brazil's largest regional carriers, operating an extensive network of domestic routes. The airline was known for serving destinations that major Brazilian carriers often bypassed, making it a vital link for regional travelers and business passengers.
In 2012, TRIP merged with Azul Brazilian Airlines, the carrier founded by JetBlue founder David Neeleman. Following regulatory approvals, the two airlines were fully integrated, with TRIP's operations and routes absorbed into Azul's expanding network, effectively ending TRIP as an independent brand by around 2014–2015.
