The Embraer E195-E2 is the largest member of Embraer's second-generation E-Jet E2 family, stretching the original E195 design with a new wing, advanced engines, and a fly-by-wire flight control system. It entered commercial service in 2019 and is marketed as having the lowest per-seat fuel burn of any single-aisle aircraft in its class.
The aircraft features a high-aspect-ratio wing with distinctive winglets, a wider cabin than many regional jets offering two-plus-two seating, and updated avionics. It is powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF (geared turbofan) engines, which significantly reduce noise and emissions compared to its predecessor.
The E195-E2 targets routes where larger narrow-body jets such as the Airbus A320neo family are oversized, making it attractive for regional carriers and flag carriers operating thinner routes. Its IATA code is 295 and ICAO designator is E295.

Azul Brazilian Airlines is the largest operator, with other operators including Boa Companhia and smaller regional carriers worldwide.

Encyclopaedia
The Embraer E-Jet E2 family is a series of four-abreast narrow-body regional jet airliners designed and produced by the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer. The twinjet is an incremental development of the original E-Jet family, adopting the more fuel-efficient Pratt & Whitney PW1900G, a geared turbofan engine. The aircraft family comprises three variants that share the same fuselage cross-section with different lengths and feature three different redesigned wings, fly-by-wire controls with new avionics, and an updated cabin. The variants offer maximum take-off weights from 44.6 to 62.5 t, and cover a range of 2,000–3,000 nmi.
