Family Vacationing Is Easier Using An Online Travel Agent 

Today, the thought of vacation automatically prompts the thought of air-travel, but that has not always been the case.  Historically, people would have thought immediately of travel by automobile. For many people, the thought of vacation makes them think of travel agents.  Again, the historical trend has been to think of travel agents only in the context of high costs; well, banish that thought, and while you are it, toss out the misconception of vacationing out of the trunk of your car. 

In today’s global marketplace you can now book the family vacation through a travel agent with little to no mark up, and better yet, possibly even at a discounted rate.  From the family trip to Disney World to the safari trip to the wilds of Kenya, you can book all of your vacation trips, including air travel, online right from the comfort of your living room. 

If you do a simple Google search for vacation packages and air travel you will retrieve a plethora of available options. From the well-known Priceline.com to the lesser-known Inetours, the choices are endless it seems. Still, the newcomer to the game is the travel auction site. Simply decide where you want to go and start bidding. You can bid for the price that you are willing to pay for a single ticket. When you win, you may request up to eight tickets at the winning price.  

These sites also offer hotel stays on the same concept. Bid on a per night price and add additional nights for the same rate. The travel time for most of these deals is specified, usually up to six months or even a year. This applies not only to travel within the states but also to locations all across the globe. It’s not dreaming too big. Just go where your imagination takes you.

Want a romantic trip for that anniversary, or maybe even a honeymoon? Have a special place that you have always dreamed of going? Or maybe you want to book that all inclusive vacation. One quick search revealed a trip to Turks and Caicos Resort and Spa. The vacation package included all meals, snacks, drinks at ten different eateries and six bars, a laundry list of activities, and the use of high class amenities such as four swimming pools and a Pirates Island Theme Park. The package also includes airfare for six nights, which costs in the neighborhood of $2,000 for two adults. This is not the vacation of your grandparents, but it is easily attainable today with an online travel agent. 

A family trip to Disney World, including tickets to the park for three days, might only cost a few hundred dollars a day. What a bargain! 

With the lowering cost of air travel and the advent of online travel agents, family vacations and family travel has become more affordable and convenient than ever. The family car is no longer a requirement in order to get that much needed family vacation and some overdue R&R. 

For those spirited spontaneous travelers, book the air travel and utilize Internet cafes to book hotels night by night as you travel from one place to the next. On a recent trip to Europe, one traveling couple made the required airline reservations and their hotel reservations for the initial entry point, then proceeded to book hotels city by city and traveled the perimeter of Germany for fifteen days by train without knowing more than their arrival day and departure day in more than two days advance notice. Of course, such a trip isn’t for everyone, but it is certainly one to consider.
